Youth Rush Overview
Northern California Youth Rush is an exciting program that connects young people who love Jesus with local communities who need Jesus. One of the best ways to do this is through useful, and practical literature, namely the “Magabook” program.
Youth Rush takes students into the community and offers printed materials and DVD's on a variety of topics from healthful living to how to have a relationsh ip with Jesus. Students work 9 weeks during the summer offering these materials door to door. They get the blessings of helping others and the additional benefit of earning a scholarship. Most Adventist academies and colleges will match up to 50% of the student’s earnings!
For many students this is a life changing summer. This program is design for young people 16 years and older who first of all love Jesus and are willing to work hard for a portion of their summer. Many comments at the end of the summer go like this:
“I’m so glad I made the decision to do this ministry this summer.”
“It was hard work but better than anything else I could have done.”
“My relationship with Jesus got so much closer this summer.”
“I made great lifelong friends.”
"I wasn't quite sure what direction to take in school, and now I have that focus after this summer."
